Sanrio shops in Japan

サンリオ

Sanrio goods reach a traveller through three kinds of shop. Sanrio's own — Gift Gate and the quieter vivitix — carry the full range at list price. KIDDY LAND gives the licence a floor of its own in Harajuku and a corner elsewhere. And the second-hand shops, K-BOOKS among them, hold the discontinued goods, which is where an older character or a collection that has been retired turns up. Nothing here is Sanrio Puroland, the indoor park in Tama, which needs a ticket.

How this list is built

A shop is listed when the licence is a real reason to go there: an official store, or a shop whose own pages say it stocks that universe. Nobody pays to be listed. How we check and rank, in full.
