Otaku shopping in Nagoya

名古屋

Nagoya's hobby shops sit in Osu, a covered shopping arcade where second-hand dealers share the street with temples, street food and vintage clothing. The field is smaller than Akihabara or Den Den Town, and that is the point: Mandarake, Jungle, Lashinbang and Super Potato are all inside the arcade, a few minutes apart on foot, so an afternoon covers the lot. Nagoya is an hour and a half from Tokyo on the Tokaido Shinkansen, which makes Osu a realistic stop between the two cities.
