Studio Ghibli shops in Japan

スタジオジブリ

Studio Ghibli goods are sold in Japan through one chain, Donguri Republic, and it is spread over the whole country: department stores, station buildings, shopping malls, and a handful of tourist streets such as Kiyomizu in Kyoto and the hot-spring road at Kusatsu. The stock is much the same everywhere — plush, tableware, music boxes, Totoro at every size — so the nearest shop is usually the right one. Tokyo Station and Ikebukuro are the easiest to reach; neither is the Ghibli Museum, which is in Mitaka and needs a ticket bought in advance.

40 shops in 19 prefectures, with facts read on their official page.

How this list is built

A shop is listed when the licence is a real reason to go there: an official store, or a shop whose own pages say it stocks that universe. Nobody pays to be listed. How we check and rank, in full.
