Retro games in Akihabara are a short list and a clear split. Super Potato on 3F is the museum end: boxed Famicom, PC Engine, arcade boards, priced as collectibles, with a game corner upstairs. Mandarake Complex and Complex 2 sell the same era graded by condition. Hard Off's two Akihabara shops and Hobby Off are the opposite approach, junk bins sold untested by the kilo of cable, where a working console costs a fraction of the shelf price and the risk is yours. BOOKOFF near the station holds discs rather than cartridges.
