Ikebukuro is the place for doujinshi written for women, and the shops say so on the door. K-BOOKS Doujin-kan and Otome-kan, and Lashinbang's women's doujinshi floors on 4F and 5F, are the core; Mandarake Lalala and Nayuta hold the second-hand volumes in their basements. The animate flagship, a building of its own, covers new volumes, magazines and first-print bonuses. BOOKOFF on Sunshine 60-dori is the cheap end. Several floors are age-gated and refuse photography.
