Miffy is Dutch and sixty years older than most of this corridor, and Japan has adopted her completely — the designs here are made for the Japanese market and do not exist in the Netherlands. That inversion is the reason to come: buying a Dutch character as a Japanese souvenir makes more sense than it sounds.
